Do you still need a pumpkin for Halloween? Are you looking to go somewhere that will get you in the mood for fall? Blessington Farms in Simonton, which is about an hour west of Houston, is the perfect escape for an autumnal weekend. Let’s take a look!

The Pumpkin Patch

Grab a pumpkin from their beautiful farm. Then, strike a pose with your family or friends at one of their more than 20 photo opps. If you want to avoid the crowds, try stopping by the pumpkin patch during the week. Don’t have time to visit before Halloween? The pumpkin patch will be open until Nov. 19.

Fun Festivities

If you’re an animal lover, Blessington Farms has birds, camels, and goats for you to see. You can also go fishing with cane poles and bait provided. Race your kids on Slide Mountain. Dig for “fossils” or go “gemstone” mining. Adults and kids also love taking a spin on the Trek bikes.

Future Fun

Besides fall activities, the farm offers berry picking in warmer seasons. Next year, check out their first ever Sunflower Festival, where you’ll be able to take photos and pick sunflowers to take home.
