From tasty tacos to DIY ramen, Houston’s restaurant scene just got even more exciting. Houstonians can now enjoy a popular taco institution’s new location in Richmond, or head over to Asiatown to make their own mouth-watering ramen bowl. Also, if you’ve been dreaming of East Coast-style seafood or cheesesteak but don’t want to travel far, some new restaurants have opened just in time to satisfy those cravings.

Soliz Tacos de Casa & Café | 11131 Harlem Rd | Richmond

(Opening Oct. 9)

For 40 years, taco lovers have devoured their favorite dishes from Soliz Tacos de Casa & Café . Now, customers can enjoy the same tasty breakfast and lunch tacos at a brand-new location in Richmond. Did you know some of the restaurant’s most popular tacos are named after their customers? I want to try the Hughie, made with grilled chicken, sauteed onions, bacon, refried beans, and cheese. Yum yum!

Qdoba Mexican Eats | 7405 FM 1960 Road E | Humble

(Opening Oct. 13)

A California-based fast-casual restaurant is opening a new location in Humble — its first in the Houston area! Enjoy burritos, quesadillas, salads, and bowls with protein options like grilled chicken, pork carnitas, and brisket birria. You can also add guac or queso free to any meal 😋 Don’t live out in the burbs? Don’t worry, the Qdoba franchise is set to open up to 13 other locations across the Houston area soon.

Blue Claw Seafood Restaurant & Bar | 13232 Northwest Fwy | Northwest Houston

It’s National Seafood Month, so it’s the perfect time to try this new seafood spot with East Coast classics. Enjoy everything from a seafood boil with shrimp to sushi rolls Pretend like you’re on vacation in an East Coast beach town thanks to the restaurant’s beautiful interior. A one-of-a-kind ramen restaurant where you can build your own ramen bowl has made its way to Asiatown! Choose from 60 flavors and over 50 toppings, place your creation in the induction oven, and then after four minutes you can devour your delicious bowl. Eating on a budget? A ramen bowl with three toppings will cost you less than $9 😉

Texadelphia | 3402 N. Shepherd | Garden Oaks

(Opened Sept. 15)

Devour a gooey and delicious cheesesteak this fall at Texadelphia’s newest location in Garden Oaks. Their menu is packed with signature cheesesteaks including their Texican, a beef or chicken cheesesteak made with onions, mozzarella, jalapeños, and queso. Not in the mood for cheesesteak? Order some wings, nachos, or fried pickles from the menu.

Pretend you're in Paris at this new French luxury wine bar tucked inside the Heights. Book an exclusive wine tasting for $120, or a more relaxed one-hour experience for $20. They update their selection of red and white wines every week, plus pastries and charcuterie boards. Bon appetit!

Cutting Board Houston | 9889 Bellaire Blvd. | Asiatown

(Grand Opening Sept. 12)

A new pasta fusion restaurant has made its way to Asiatown! If you love Italian, seafood, AND Japanese cuisine, you don’t have to choose between any of them here. Whether you want grilled calamari salad, spaghetti and meatballs, or a lobster roll. Cutting Board Houston will have a grand opening special this month, where you can get a free lobster cocktail with every $50 spent.

Krua Thai & Sushi | 6324 Richmond Ave. | Galleria Area

(Opened Aug. 28)

Let’s be honest. No one does fusion better than H-town, and now we have a new spot for Thai and Japanese?Krua Thai & Sushi offers up classics like pad thai, miso soup, and edamame. Want to be more adventurous? Try their cold sushi dishes like their chilli hamachi yuzu, which features Japanese yellowtail sashimi with spicy red yuzu pepper, serrano, chili oil and ponzu.

The Road to Nowhere | 1617 Richmond Ave. | Montrose

(Opened early August)

Nobie’s owners Sara and Martin Stayer have opened up a new tiki bar inside the Toasted Coconut. This fun bar, open Thursday through Saturday evenings, focuses on tiki classics and tropical flavors. One standout drink is Kava Sutra Clarity, a coffee-flavored cocktail made with Cagnus cognac. Although you can’t order food from this new bar, you can still indulge in classic dishes from Toasted Coconut – you’re right inside!

Kilani Food Hall | 3818 Cartwright Rd. | Missouri City

(Opened Aug. 9)

A new food hall has made its way to the ‘burbs! Kilani Food Hall will serve seven different food concepts featuring bold flavors and a diverse selection of dishes. Grab a hot chicken sandwich from Burnin Chick, tacos from Taco Nova, seafood dishes at A&M Fry Shack, or a burger from Cheeky Buns. Seems like whatever you’re craving, your tastebuds will be satisfied!

Savoir | 1344 Yale St. | The Heights

(Re-opened Aug. 1)

After closing in March, a beloved Heights restaurant, Savoir, is back! Houston chef Jose Hernandez, a restaurant veteran known for his French cuisine, is reviving the restaurant right off Heights Boulevard. Guests can expect the restaurant's beloved Mediterranean-style cuisine, including house-made pastas and pizzas. Yum yum!

Yiayia’s Pappas Greek Kitchen | 2410 Richmond Ave. | Upper Kirby

(Opened Aug. 1)

Get excited! Fans of Yia Yia Mary’s Mediterranean Kitchen can now visit an upscale spin on the restaurant located inside Pappadeaux’s former location on Richmond Avenue. The menu now boasts more high-brow seafood items and a full wine list with Greek selections. Miss your favorites from the old restaurant that closed in 2020? Their signature beef and chicken souvlaki is still on the menu, but now made with higher-quality proteins, blistered tomatoes, pickled fennel, and tzatziki.

Bar Buena | 2002 West Gray St. | River Oaks

Looking to escape the summer heat? Visit this new oasis tucked behind Goode Co.’s Kitchen & Cantina and serving up tequila and other agave spirits. Their menu has some Mexican classics (hello, guacamole!) and more adventurous fare, like the crispy brussels sprouts taco. I’m eyeing the frozen mezcal margarita and carnitas flautas.

Mayahuel | 811 Buffalo Pk. Dr. Suite 130 | Buffalo Bayou

(Opening on July 18)

Luis Robledo Richards, the pastry chef behind Mexico City’s Tout Chocolat, is bringing an exciting new Mexican restaurant to Autry Park. You can indulge in various delicious dishes with bold flavors, seasonal ingredients, and heirloom corn imported directly from Mexico. Some dishes making my mouth water include the filet mignon with mole negro and the sea bass with potatoes and salsa Veracruzana. Don’t miss their brunch menu with chilaquiles and eggs benedict topped with salsa roja hollandaise. Yum yum!

Tago | 1120 Dennis St. | Midtown

(Opened June 27)

Pretend like you’re vacationing in Tulum at this breathtaking new restaurant inspired by the popular resort town in the Riviera Maya. Grab a cocktail and lounge at their patio that has oceanside vibes. Enjoy a plate from their coastal dining menu with dishes like the adobo chicken, featuring grilled chicken marinated in pineapple and adobo and served with pineapple pico de gallo, black bean purée, and an adobo masa cake. I’m already eying the dulce de leche bread pudding for dessert!

Diversión Cocktails | 1226 W. Clay St. | Montrose

(Opened June 19)

For me, there’s nothing better in the thick of summer than a refreshing cocktail! Enjoy light bites and specialty cocktails at Diversión Cocktails’ new intimate space in Montrose. The Texan Artisan Board has charcuterie created by all Texas producers. It’s already calling my name! On the cocktail side, I can’t wait to try “Hana Hou-ston” made with rum, aperol, papaya, lime, sesame, and shoyu.

Happy Go Lucky | 2102 N. Shepherd Dr. | The Heights

(Opened June 6)

Check out this new Hawaiian shaved ice spot that has been blowing up my Tik Tok feed! Grab some shaved ice with the kiddos, or treat yourself with a frozen cocktail. I can’t wait to cool down with their frozen piña colada. The Happy Rainbow shaved ice looks like a perfect treat to share on a hot summer day. 🌈

Latuli | 8900 Gaylord Dr. | Memorial Area

(Opened May 28)

If you venture to Latuli this month, get excited to enjoy Gulf Coast-inspired cuisine with global flair. Their menu features fresh ingredients from local farmers. Items that made my mouth water: rock shrimp tacos, double-cut pork chop, smoked redfish dip with pimento cheese. The restaurant also has a separate bar that’s apparently described as an “adults-only retreat.”

Good God, Nadine’s | 33 Waugh Dr. | Washington Avenue

(Opened May 27)

Good God, Nadine’s, a new Southern cocktail lounge and restaurant, is already at the top of my list for June! The name pays homage to “everyone’s favorite eccentric aunt,” and you’ll find a range of cocktails and a one-of-a-kind menu that draws from many cultures, including the American South, Caribbean, Mexican, and Vietnamese. Two items that stand out: the pho-spiced pork chops and The Houstonian cocktail, which plays off a gin and tonic with cinnamon, star anise, juniper, and thyme. Yum yum!

Craving brunch late at night? This new 24-hour, Black-owned restaurant is already getting tons of buzz! Guests can enjoy all-you-can-eat brunch and mimosas. Lunch and dinner is also served any time of the day. Don’t miss their full bar to sip on signature cocktails like the Drunken Monkey. I’m eying the french toast breakfast sandwich 👀

Pinball Pizzeria | 2240 Navigation Blvd., Suite 800 | East End

(Opened May 6)

Check out this new pizzeria perfect for the whole fam! Create your own pizza with various toppings, from chopped pepperoni to caramelized onions. Menu items are locally sourced and celebrate the rich culture of Second Ward. Two items you definitely need to try, include the Chorizo Fuego pizza with chorizo, salsa verde, and a cheese-stuffed crust and The Pinball sub with meatballs, marinara, a four-cheese blend, and fresh basil. Don’t forget to test out their pinball machine!

Solarium | 820 Holman | Midtown

Looking for a new spot to play pickleball and get your grub on? Grab your crew for some fun in the sun at Solarium in Midtown. Reserve a pickleball or padel court for up to six guests. While you’re working up a sweat, you can also order food from their delightful menu. From their Belgian waffle with jalapeño hot honey to their baja fish tacos, you’ll have plenty of choices!

Pizza King | 800 Bradford Ave. | Kemah

Are you out in the burbs and craving some delicious pizza? Pizza King, a League City eatery, recently opened a new location in Kemah. The restaurant is known for itsNew York style slices, including classic pepperoni, meat-lovers, and cheese. They also have a large heart-shaped pizza served with cinna-knots called the Cheap Date. Adorable 😉

Agnes and Sherman | 250 W 19th St. A | The Heights

Acclaimed chef Nick Wong brings this one-of-a-kind Asian-American diner to the Heights. The restaurant pays homage to Wong’s roots — his mom is from Hong Kong and his Dad is from San Francisco — and serves up tasty dishes that reflect his cultural background. Here’s what I’m dying to try: the Taiwanese Disco Fries, where crispy potatoes are smothered in pork gravy, melted mozzarella cheese, and Chinese pickled mustard greens.

Las Perras Café | 3401 Harrisburg Blvd. Suite J | East Downtown

Go ahead and add this new cafe honoring Latino culture to your foodie list! The coffee shop boasts drinks named after Latina activists like Dolores Huerta and Alice Valdez. Their specialty coffee is sourced from micro-lots in Latin America and then roasted fresh every week right here in H-town. Definitely adding to my coffee shop routine ☕

Terra Restaurant and Lounge | 8617 Westheimer | West of Galleria

Enjoy cocktails and French and American-inspired cuisine at this new restaurant just west of the Galleria. I’m dying to try their Houston cocktail, made with strawberries, lime, mango juice, and Casamigos. Some other menu standouts include the honey-roasted garlic rack of lamb and French dip sandwich.

Grand Opening April 10

Silk Road | 2929 Westpark Dr. | West University

Craving delicious hand-crafted dim sum? This new Cantonese dining experience is inside Courtyard Marriott near Rice University and pays homage to the Silk Road trade routes that connected China and the Far East with the West. Owner Siri Lao and chef Thawatchai Insignha bring their Thai-Chinese heritage to the menu. Some items to try include the chef’s signature crispy shrimp cheung fun, crispy noodles with gravy, and their lemongrass lemon drop cocktail. Yum!

Camraderie | 608 W 11th Street | Heights

This new Heights hotspot is perfect for a fancy night or a casual dinner with your crew! Splurge on their three-course $75 prix-fixe menu, featuring shared starters, an entree, and dessert. Want more chill vibes? Head to their lounge or patio and order from their a la carte menu, which includes shareable plates and entrees. Some of the menu items catching my eye: halibut with smoked potato, lobster, and clam chowder. And for dessert, their miso butterscotch bombe.

City Cellars | 2850 Riverby Rd Suite 110 | Greater East End

Check out this beautiful restaurant that has moved from the Museum District to a new spot in the Greater East End. Enjoy stunning views of downtown on their patio overlooking Buffalo Bayou. Their all-day menu is jam-packed with goodies, including the carne asada hash, shrimp and grits, and hot chicken sandwich.

Opened March 1

Pho Prime, known for authentic and flavorful Vietnamese dishes, has opened a new location near the Galleria. Of course, you’ll want to try their signature pho, but leave room for their tasty sandwiches, like the pork bahn mi. Want a little extra kick in your tastebuds? Try their spicy bun bo, which is a beef noodle soup and includes brisket, beef rib, and Vietnamese ham with lemongrass shrimp sate.

KWO Sushi | 401 Franklin St Suite 1360 | POST Houston

Opened late February

Craving something new at POST Houston? Check out KWO Sushi, a new food stall offering tasty sushi rolls, bento boxes, and vegetarian eats. The restaurant’s name means “this is delicious” in Japanese, and they have both traditional and creative sushi rolls. Some standouts include their Flamin' Aburi Sake, which includes salmon, cucumber, cream cheese and Flamin' Hot Cheetos. They also serve rice bowls with chicken teriyaki, spicy tuna and pork belly.

Chardon | 1711 Allen Pkwy Suite 101 | Allen Parkway

You don’t have to leave Houston to go to France! Just head over to the Thompson Hotel by Buffalo Bayou, and try out this new French bistro. You’ll find classic French cuisine, plus some dishes that nod to its Texas roots, like the duck cassoulet dish, which has black-eyed peas and andouille sausage. Make sure to try their beef bourguignon, which uses beef cheeks to honor barbacoa and taco culture.

Annam | 811 Buffalo Pk Dr Suite 120 | Allen Parkway

Opened Feb. 7

Annam, a new restaurant off Allen Parkway, honors the culture and history of Vietnam through its dishes, including French influences. The restaurant’s name comes from the region of Vietnam that was a French protectorate in the late 1800s. Get ready to indulge in some mouth-watering dishes like their "Mom's cabbage soup" and mini banh xeo, also known as a Vietnamese crepe. Other popular menu items: the shaking filet mignon. The restaurant also offers wine pairings with a selection of old and new world wines — debunking the misconception that Vietnamese food does not pair well with wine. Don’t forget to take in the breathtaking French architecture throughout the restaurant while you’re there!

Crawfish Cafe, known for its Viet-Cajun flavors, has opened its fifth location in Pearland just in time for crawfish season. Enjoy tasty crawfish alongside other scrumptious seafood dishes like their snow crab legs, char-grilled oysters, and crawfish empanadas. The Pearland location also boasts a large patio with TVs, so you can cheer on your favorite team on game day.

Hai Keii | 3300 Kirby Dr Suite 9-A | Upper Kirby

Opening in mid-February

Grab your stretchy pants! You’ll want them after trying the new Asian-inspired concept, Hai Keii, offering a variety of delicious picks, including Japanese milk bread, sashimi, and Peking duck. Also devour their Japanese, Australian, and American Wagyu selections. The restaurant’s executive chef, Jeffrey Taylor, used to work at Morimoto, the popular Japanese restaurant in New York City that closed in 2020.

Bol | 3201 Louisiana St | Midtown

Opened Jan. 30

If you love newly opened Pok Pok Po, then you’ll be overjoyed to hear that its sister concept Bol recently joined them in the same space. Guests can craft their own bowl based on whatever spices and ingredients they’re craving. And you can pick from a bunch of tasty items, like their masala rice, lamb keema, cumin potatoes, or happy chicken.

Perseid | 4110 Loretto Dr | Montrose

Opened Jan. 16

Chef Aaron Bludorn has opened a new French bistro inside Hotel Saint Augustine, just in time to enjoy a romantic dinner for Valentine’s Day. The restaurant’s name stems from the annual meteor shower that’s usually visible in August and honors our reputation as Space City. Perseid is serving up dishes with a modern French twist, including duck frites, potato gnocchi, and the St. Augustine burger. And, oh my goodness, I can’t wait to get my hands on their desserts, including the beignets, creme brulee, and the eclair with raspberry ganache and pistachio creme.

Alora Restaurant and Bar | 2502 Dunlavy St Suite B | Montrose

Opened Jan. 10

Check out this new one-of-a-kind restaurant bringing Peruvian and Vietnamese dishes to Montrose. Chef Diego Ponce, who was born and raised in Peru, took a summer trip to Saigon, which inspired him to create a restaurant blending Peruvian and Vietnamese flavors. Some standout dishes to try include their lomo saltado, a beef dish with soy sauce and garlic-tinged rice. And, who wouldn’t want a Pho-quila, a tequila infused with pho spices?!

Mexican Sugar Cocina | 3505 W Dallas St | Montrose

Opened Dec. 16

A new delicious Mexican restaurant from the Dallas-area has made its way to Houston! Expect to indulge in traditional favorites like their enchiladas, tacos, or fajitas. Or try something new like their Latin paella, made with lobster, lump crab, gulf shrimp, scallops, mussels, spanish chorizo, and saffron rice. Pro tip: They have happy hour Monday - Friday from 2 to 6 p.m 😉

Mercato and Company | 3642 University Blvd | West University

Opened Dec. 14

A little taste of Italy has come to West University at this new Italian-inspired market offering paninis, pastries, coffee, and Italian wines. Founder Arlene Ventura said the restaurant’s inspiration comes from her time visiting markets in Milan and from her childhood trips to New York City bodegas. The market will open a full-service restaurant soon, featuring a menu created by an Italian chef.

Osha Thai Kitchen | 12230 Westheimer Rd | West Houston

Opened Dec. 10

Immerse yourself at this new restaurant with dishes inspired by flavors from street markets in Thailand. Try their Thai chicken wings, papaya salads, crab rangoon, and other plates. All of their noodles and curries are made in house. Yum! Even better, the restaurant offers many affordable dishes under $20.

Fielding’s River Oaks | 3750 Westheimer Rd | River Oaks

Want to have a fancy night out to fight the January blahs? Grab a table for dinner and indulge in their live-fire steaks or fresh Gulf seafood. Plus, sip on one of their hand-crafted cocktails. Everyday, they have social hour from 3 to 5 p.m., when the restaurant spotlights their extraordinary drink menu.

Pok Pok Po | 3201 Louisiana St Suite 108 | Midtown

Opened Dec. 2

This new Midtown restaurant offers up a bold take on fried chicken made with unique seasonings and ingredients, including gluten-free flour, starch batter, and Indian Kashmiri red chili powder seasoning and a blend of herbs and flavors. While you’re chowing down on some delicious fried chicken, order their loaded chic fries that are layered with a signature sauce and desi kimchi.

Relish Restaurant & Bar | 2810 Westheimer Road | Spring Branch

Opened Dec. 2

Relish has opened a second location in Spring Branch, boasting some of the same favorites including their fried chicken, lobster roll, and burger. Their new Spring Branch location is larger than their original River Oaks restaurant, with seating for nearly 200 people. Guests can also enjoy new menu items like their vegetable lasagna with pasta and roast chicken with harissa.

Kaiten Sushi Ginza Onodera | 12270 Westheimer Road | West Houston

Opened Nov. 16

A new Michelin-star sushi restaurant, which originally opened in Tokyo, has made its way to west Houston. Guests can enjoy ultra-fresh sushi flown in (!!) twice a week from Japan. The new Houston location will also offer Texas-inspired dishes in the future, but for now guests can dine on sushi and other dishes like shoyu ramen and Japanese egg custard with shrimp and mushroom.

Afuri | 1215 N Durham Dr | Heights 

Opened Nov. 1

Afuri, a popular Tokyo-based ramen brand, just expanded to Texas with a new location in the Heights. This delicious restaurant is known for its ramen dishes, specifically its Yuzu Shio ramen made with chicken broth, greens, egg, and other ingredients.

Herand’s Kitchen | 2601 Baylor | The Heights

Opened Nov. 2

Check out this new Heights restaurant serving Persian, Greek, and Mediterranean dishes. The family-owned restaurant originally hails from California, but is starting a new chapter in Houston. Indulge in dishes like their famous house pickled vegetables, called torshi, and their beef koubideh, which is two skewers of fire-grilled ground beef served with rice, salad, bread, and grilled vegetables.

Dandelion Cafe | 611 W 22nd St | Heights

Grand Opening Nov. 16

Dandelion Cafe,, just opened a new location in the Heights. The menu includes some familiar favorites from their Bellaire restaurant, including Chef JC Ricks’ Chicken and Waffles, which won the “United States of Breakfast” competition last year on Good Morning America. They’re inviting folks to their grand opening Nov. 16.

Andy’s Home Cafe | 2121 North Main | Near Downtown

Opened Oct. 30

This late-night Tex-Mex spot finally has a new location after being forced to close its original longtime location in the Heights last year. Enjoy their carne guisada, enchiladas, huevos rancheros, and other tasty dishes.

Hachi | 5333 Westheimer Rd | (Galleria)

Opened late October

Make a reservation at Houston’s newest omakase restaurant perfect for sushi lovers. Go all out and treat yourself to an 18-course omakase – which translates to “I’ll leave it to you in Japanese – that includes ingredients directly from Japan for $150. Dining on a budget? Then check out their chili salmon for $16, which includes avocado, cucumber, spicy mayo, and crunchy garlic chive.

This popular West African restaurant has gotten a lot of buzz since its food stall debuted at POST. Now it just opened up its first brick-and-mortar location in Montrose. I already got to dine at the new location — and you’re going to love it. Inside, you’re greeted with a bright and colorful ambience, cozy booths next to bright green plants, and a fully stocked bar. Some of my favorite bites include: The veggie pie minnie, a fun-sized West African vegetable pastry, and their Golden dish, which features smokey jollof jambalaya, Motherland curry, Blọk chicken, stewed plantains, and Yaji vegetables. Finally, I went to bed dreaming about their warm plantain bread and custard.

Leo’s RIver Oaks | 2009 W Gray St (River Oaks Theatre)

Opens Oct. 3

River Oaks Theatre reopens today! Besides watching new flicks and old favorites at the theater, you can also try out their new connected restaurant, Leo’s River Oaks. This fine dining restaurant will feature dishes like the roasted pork belly, grilled octopus, and duck fat potatoes.

Kyuramen Woodlands | 8821 Metropark Drive ( Shenandoah, Texas)

Are you ready to try a one-of-a-kind ramen dish? The restaurant’s founder studied how to craft the dish during several trips to Japan. Now, the restaurant is opening its second location this month, which will cater to Houstonians who live out in the suburbs north of downtown. .

Haii Keii | 3300 Kirby Drive (River Oaks)

Opening in October

Get excited! A new sushi restaurant and steakhouse is coming to the River Oaks area. Chef Jeff Auld and Jarred Tosto are behind this new restaurant, which will serve Chinese and Japanese dishes, including peking duck and wagyu beef.

Opening in September

Check out the new casual sister restaurant to Traveler’s Table which will serve up delicious global street food. The restaurant’s menu will feature dishes with influences from owners Thy and Matthew Mitchell’s travels around the world.

Doves | 3101 Main St., Houston (Midtown)

Enjoy Southern cuisine with an Asian twist at this new elegant restaurant in Midtown. Executive Chef Javani King and Chef Alphise Washington have crafted a fusion menu, with dishes like their Cantonese Calamari, signature Tomahawk steak, and Mr. Frank’s Gumbo Dumpling.

Credence | 9757 Katy Fwy Suite #170 (Memorial Area)

Houston Chef Levi Goode opened a new restaurant concept inspired by his upbringing as a fifth-generation Texan. Guests can take in all the grilling action – watching their steaks and Sweetwater duck roasted over live fire. After your meal, grab a drink from their new speakeasy, Sidebar, next door featuring cocktails and live music.

Hungry’s | 5750 Woodway Dr. Suite 162 (Tanglewood)

Hungry’s, a popular Mediterranean restaurant in Houston, just opened up its first new location in more than 40 years. This new 6,000-square-foot restaurant will not only serve their classic Mediterranean dishes, but also feature an expansive layout with an indoor-outdoor bar and a dog-friendly patio. Guests can also sample plant-based dishes imported from Heartbeet, a sister restaurant.

Phat Eatery | 2290 Buckthorne Place (The Woodlands)

I visited Phat Eatery, the oh-so-tasty Malaysian restaurant, which recently opened a second location in The Woodlands. This new location tucked beside lofty trees feels like a tropical paradise. Inside, you’re greeted by warm servers and enticing aromas. My friend and I ordered way too much food, but loved every bite. We devoured the roti canai, Indian flatbread with curry dip. Next, we fell in love with the zesty flavors in the billionaire fried rice. I also enjoyed the sweet basil chicken, a perfect dish if you can’t handle too much spice.

Fish Company Taco | 1914 23rd St (Galveston)

After some construction delays, this popular taco shop, known for its globally inspired seafood tacos, is set to re-open in mid-August in Galveston. Raz Halili, Galveston native and new owner of Fish Company Taco, plans to continue the legacy of the previous owners, but still put his own spin on the new restaurant space. Instead of the BYOB format, Halili will bring in a full bar and a new menu of signature cocktails.

Maven Coffee and Cocktails | 501 Crawford St (Silver Street Studios)

Whether you’re looking for a refreshing cup of coffee or a delicious cocktail at night, then add Maven Coffee and Cocktails to your bucket list. This restaurant, which will open their fourth location at Silver Street Studios this month, serves as a relaxing coffee shop during the day and then transforms into an upscale lounge experience at night.

Okto | 888 Westheimer Rd Suite 119 (Montrose)

Okto is set to replace the Chelsea, which recently closed, at the Montrose Collective later this month. Okto will serve Mediterranean dishes inspired by Greece, Italy, and Spain.
