What if you could take a trip to the library, flip through a book, and enjoy a glass of wine? Well, your dreams can come true at the Library Wine Bar. At this new spot in Spring Branch, you can peruse through nearly 2,000 books about wine, savor a glass of vintage wine, or devour a delicious charcuterie board. Let’s get into it!
A New Business Is Born
Jason EuBanks, a veteran in the wine industry, first fell in love with wine while living in New Orleans. He and his wife Laurie have lived in Spring Branch since 2012. They decided to bring an inventive bar to their neighborhood inspired by the wine travel books that Eubanks loves. The wine bar is now open Monday through Sunday, 4 p.m. - midnight.
Eat & Drink At The Bar
While you’re at the bar, check out more than 500 different bottled wines, which are mostly made by family-owned estates. True to their name, the bar will serve older, “library” wines dating back to the 1960s. After you’ve selected your favorite wine, taste their cheeses, charcuterie, or one of their small plates.
Dry January Options
If you gave up alcohol this month, then try some of their non-alcoholic options such as the Herb Craft Elixir made with Seedlip Garden, FeverTree cucumber tonic, rosemary and cucumber. Try the Pom Spritz, made with Seedlip Spice, sparkling water, pomegranate, star of anise and orange zest. Enjoy!
