Earlier this summer I moved to Montrose, and so far I’m loving the eclectic neighborhood. Here are some of my favorite spots.
Menil Collection
For me, there’s something about walking underneath the large trees by the Menil Collection lawn that instantly makes my shoulders soften. The people-watching — seeing people gather for picnics, do yoga or walk their dogs— is an excellent escape. Besides just walking around the lawn, make sure to go inside and check out the amazing art collection.
Ostia
I already enjoyed this beautiful Italian restaurant, but now that I live close by I’ll be frequenting it more. They have a great wine selection and delicious pasta. My fave is the bucatini, a perfect indulgence for those cozy fall nights coming soon.
93’ Til
I went here for the first time a few weeks back. I had a strawberry shortcake and white wine that satisfied my sweet tooth on a Sunday night. The lovely outdoor patio is a great place to catch up with friends.
