With Earth Day on April 22, this is a great month to get outside and volunteer around Houston. So, how can you spend time in nature and give back this month? Let’s take a look!
The Best Ways To Volunteer for Earth Day

- Houston Area Urban League needs help with their community block party, which will provide resources to help residents maintain their health and wellness.
- Spend time volunteering at Shamba Ya Amani, a community farm run by resettled refugees and immigrants, in Alief.
- Help with planting in the prairie, upkeep of their trail, or treating invasive species at Armand Bayou Nature Center in Pasadena.
- Participate in a family fun walk through the Houston Zoo, which benefits veterans and children and adults with disabilities.
- Sign-up to help at Galveston’s beach clean-up day.
