Do you have a goal of trying new restaurants and bars this summer? Well, there are plenty of new places opening all over Houston, including a new cocktail bar in Montrose, a Malaysian restaurant in The Woodlands, and a Chinese restaurant in Rice Village.

New Restaurants & Bars Opening This Summer

Karbach Brewery is adding a pizzeria to its location featuring Neapolitan-style dough and delicious toppings. Phat Eatery will open its second location in The Woodlands. Meanwhile, a new cocktail lounge and rooftop bar inspired by the South of France opens in Montrose. [CultureMap Houston]

Cocktail Bar Opens in Montrose

Check out Jethro’s, a new 2,200 square foot bar known for its boozy peach cocktails and smash burgers. The bar’s cocktail list includes Sweet Like Peachtree, made with vodka, peach puree, lemon, ginger beer, and simple syrup, and Not Your Dad’s Old Fashioned, made with hibiscus-infused rye whiskey paired with fernet, Luxardo, simple syrup, and angostura. New Chinese Restaurant in Rice Village

Stop by Duck N Bao’s new location in Rice Village. They have updated their menu with new offerings, which include stir-fried lobster tail duo and mapo tofu with lobster. They also will offer short ribs, duck fried rice, black truffle soup dumplings, warm octopus salad, and more. [Houston Chronicle 🔒]
