Where To Get The Best Pie In Houston

City Cast Houston Staff

What does cozy weather in Houston call for? A delicious slice of pie, of course! We have some tasty pie places dotted all across the city. I’m a huge pie-lover too, so you can trust my recommendations below. Let’s go!

The House Of Pies

This pie franchise is a tradition for many Houstonians when the weather starts to cool down. House of Pies is not only delicious, but affordable. You can get a slice of pie for only $4.95. Once you have one slice, you’re gonna want the whole pie, which is under 20 bucks. My favorites: the Dutch apple pie, sweet potato, and lemon icebox. They have locations in Houston, Katy, The Woodlands, and Cypress.

Flying Saucer Pie Company

There’s a reason people line up before Thanksgiving to score a pie from Flying Saucer. The company has been baking scrumptious pies for Houstonians since 1967, and yes, they’re really that good. For peak fall vibes, try their pecan pie, pumpkin pie with whipped cream, or their Dutch apple pie topped with a crumbly cinnamon sugar strudel.

Three Brothers Bakery

This award-winning bakery with multiple locations across Houston is known for its range of desserts including cakes, cookies, and cupcakes. However, their pies are also extremely tasty. Their variations on pecan pie are worth a trip alone. You’ll want a bite of their salted caramel pecan pie, bourbon chocolate chip pecan pie, or chocolate fudge pecan pie. Yum, yum!

Don’t Forget About Luby’s

Okay, you may think Luby’s? Wild card, I know! However, Luby’s is a Texas favorite for a reason. Their simple and appetizing pies remind me of going to my Grandma’s house during the holidays. If you make a trip this fall, grab a slice of their pecan pie, pumpkin, or chocolate icebox pie.

So, where is your favorite place to grab pie in Houston? Tell me your order.
