Love is in the air this spring, and it’s time to get outside and explore Houston with your boo! Plus, you can do it on a budget with my recs below ♥️
🎥 Go to The Movies and Then Take a Stroll
Did you know you can catch a film at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston for only $9 per person? After your movie, take a stroll with your partner to the PNC Roof Garden, where you can see sweeping views of the Museum District and downtown.
🎭 Watch a Show at Miller Outdoor Theatre
A new season has kicked off at Miller Outdoor Theatre, which is a perfect spot for date night! This month, you can see all kinds of performances from Bollywood to Latin jazz. Bring a blanket and some goodies to make your night even sweeter!
🥳 Enjoy a Fun Festival Outside
Get outside and take in all the festivities happening across Houston. Stop by this free community festival in the Energy Corridor with live music and food this Saturday. Groove to music and eat more delicious food at Houston LatinFest in Sugar Land, which only costs 12 bucks to enter. Check out the free Puranava Indian Art & Culture Fest on April 19 in Pearland for classical and folk performances, henna, South Asian street food and more.
🌺 Japanese Garden Stroll and Then Museum Date
Take a stroll through Hermann Park’s breathtaking Japanese Garden with your boo thang. Then, take advantage of the free nights in the Museum District. Whether you check out Houston Museum of Natural Science’s free Tuesday evenings or the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston’s free Thursdays, you’re going to have a great time!
💙 Picnic with the Bluebonnets
It’s bluebonnet season, but it won’t last long! Grab your picnic basket, blanket, and treats, and head to one of Houston’s hotspots for bluebonnets. Some of my favorite spots to take in the bluebonnets are at Buffalo Bayou and Hermann Park 😉
🧺 Bingo at Levy Park
Enjoy a night of Sunset Bingo at Levy Park for only $10 with your crush. If you want to spend a little extra, you can grab some wine from Slowpokes or a delicious dish on Hearsay’s patio.
