Believe it or not, it’s already crawfish season! There’s nothing more H-town than gathering with your squad to devour delicious crawfish, corn on the cob, and sip on a cold one. So, where can you chow down on the best crawfish in Houston? I’ve got you covered!

Crawfish & Noodles

Dive into a plate of crawfish infused with a mix of Cajun and Vietnamese influences at this beloved restaurant at Houston’s Chinatown. Chef and owner Trong Nguyen has received national recognition for Crawfish & Noodles, including a nomination for Best Chef in Texas in the James Beard Awards. When you go, you have to try their Viet-Cajun crawfish seasoned with garlic butter served with corn, potatoes, and sausage. Yum!

Ragin’ Cajun

We can’t talk about Houston’s best crawfish spots without mentioning Houston’s first Cajun seafood restaurant. Ragin’ Cajun opened in 1974 and has built a reputation for some of the best boiled crawfish in the city. Whether you’re eating at their Richmond or Spring Branch location, you’ll want a plate of their fresh crawfish from Louisiana. Besides those mudbugs, my mouth is watering just thinking about their po-boy special, which includes a half fried seafood po-boy, cup of gumbo and a drink.

Josephine’s Gulf Coast Tradition

Looking to switch up your crawfish routine? Josephine’s, a newer seafood restaurant in Midtown that dubs itself as “a little bit classy and a little bit trashy,” is serving up live crawfish all season long. Their seafood menu is also outstanding, with plates like the Mississippi Hot Catfish sandwich, honey mustard shrimp and pecan salad, and their BBQ Blue Crabs.

Boil House

Want to pretend like you’re eating crawfish on a Louisiana road trip? Head to Boil House in the Heights, where you can eat crawfish delivered directly from the Bayou State. Feast on their boiled crawfish, crabs, or shrimp with traditional sides of corn, potatoes, or a sausage link. We’re also in Mardi Gras season, so why not order one of their king cakes from the famous New Orleans bakery Gambino's?

Crawfish Cafe

Ever tried a crawfish empanada? Well, add it to your bucket list because at Crawfish Cafe, you can test drive their spin on crawfish with a mix of Viet-Cajun dishes. Some standouts include their crawfish eggrolls, oyster nachos, and crawfish cheese bread. What a combo! The popular restaurant also has locations all over the Houston area, including Alief, the Heights, and their newest one in Pearland.
