There’s something about patio weather that makes me crave a delicious dish of pasta and a glass of wine. So, where can you go in Houston for the best pasta? Here are some of my faves.
Sixty Vines
Once you try their pasta, you’ll keep coming back to this cozy and beautifully decorated space in Rice Village. On my last trip, I had their radiatori primavera made with tasty vegetables, spinach, tomatoes, pecorino romano, and pesto butter. Delicious! And if you feel the urge to get one of their wood-fired pizzas, do it. Your stomach will thank you.
Ostia
I’m obsessed with this lovely Italian spot in Montrose. Their patio is the perfect place to grab a dish of pasta and enjoy a glass of wine on a warm spring or summer night. My go-to pasta is the bucatini with guanciale, tomato, onion, chili, and pecorino.
North Italia
At this scrumptious restaurant in Post Oak, you’ll want to try the spicy rigatoni vodka or the traditional spaghetti and meatballs. I also am in love with their chicken parmesan made with crushed tomato, aged provolone, mozzarella, and parmesan rigatoni.
Marmo
Earlier this year, I visited Marmo in Montrose for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed the pasta and the live music. I had their rigatoni alla vodka and a nice glass of Pinot Grigio. Marmo now has happy hour from 3 p.m. - 6 p.m., so you can grab inexpensive drinks (hey $6 glass of wine!) and some pasta plates for only $7.
