If there’s one thing I love, it's brunch, and Houston has some delicious spots. We tackled some of our favorites on a City Cast Houston podcast episode. Here are some we mentioned.
The Breakfast Klub
You honestly can’t talk about Houston’s brunch scene without mentioning this iconic spot in Third Ward. This place still draws a line around the building pretty much every day — even though it’s been open since 2001. Order the chicken and waffles or the “katfish” and grits.
Taste Bar + Kitchen
If you’re looking for every kind of waffle flavor, then you’ll want to stop by this Midtown brunch spot. City Cast Houston producer Carlignon Jones vouches for the mac and cheese, which comes in multiple gouda flavors: bacon, lobster, truffle, and more.
Bosscat Kitchen & Libations
There’s a doughnut burger you need to try at this River Oaks brunch eatery, according to City Cast Houston lead producer Dina Kesbeh. Some other tasty treats on the menu: the Monte Cristo, country fried steak, and the vegetable omelet.
Lola
One last rec — from yours truly — is Lola on Yale Street, which serves breakfast all day. If you’re looking for a classic and delicious breakfast, try their challah french toast, pancakes, and huevos rancheros.
