Where Is It?

The iconic Picos Restaurant on Kirby Drive. (Brooke Lewis/City Cast Houston)

Congrats to Andrea, our “Where Is It?” winner! She correctly guessed that I was at Picos Restaurant on Kirby Drive. This iconic Mexican restaurant has been serving Houstonians for more than 40 years. They will sadly be closing in early 2026, so go ahead and check it out before it’s gone 🍽️

Btw, this is our last “Where Is It?” for the newsletter. If you’ve been reading since 2022, you have guessed where I am over 100 times! Whether I was at a new coffee shop, at one of my favorite museums, or on the rooftop of an iconic Houston building, I could hardly ever stump y’all. Thanks for playing and for making this one of my favorite parts of Hey Houston to write ♥️
